We all know that yoga is a great way to increase posture, flexibility, and functional strength. And it is something that, with instruction and practice, almost anyone can do. What you might not realize is that yoga is also a fantastic rehabilitative art. Most minor injuries and strains can be greatly alleviated by doing yoga, (with your doctor’s okay, of course). And with further practice, those injuries may be completely healed and prevented over time.
Yoga also allows your mind some time for contemplation and relief. Stress can be a huge factor in body pain and injuries. With deep breathing, intentional movement, and a relaxing atmosphere, your stress can be greatly reduced. This allows your body to heal faster and further prevents strain or injury.

Here at Frequency, we felt that yoga was an important offering to students who are interested in further increasing mobility and flexibility to prevent injury and increase their abilities in their Jiu-Jitsu practice. Our classes are led by a certified yoga instructor on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with more classes to come in the near future.
